* About Grid Machine
If You work with ArcView's Spatial Analyst You should take a look at Grid Machine, because the options to work with grids are very limited, especially if you have requests for large amounts of grids. Even simple actions (like copy, rename, import, export) are only provided for single grids. Gridmachine offers a lot of helpful tools for the work with ArcView/Spatial Analyst, like the above mentionend, but also some features (like the Cutting Machine, the Geocoder or the Nodata changer), that aren't even provided for single grids by Spatial Analyst.
The current version contains the following features:
- Import machine --> Import various data formats to grids (ArcView, Surfer and Grass ASCII grids, binary data (FLT), Elevation data (DTED, DEM), ASCII and dBase tables, shapes, images (TIF, BIL, BIP, BSQ), SRTM data (HGT, DEM), SPOT Vegetation data, Landsat TM)
- Export machine --> Export multiple grids to various data formats (various ASCII and binary grids, ASCII and dBase tables)
- Copying Machine --> Copy/Move multiple grids
- Renaming Machine --> Rename grid names with various options
- Extract parts of grids --> Extract parts of multiple grids with various options (former 'cut grids')
- Union grids --> Merge, mosaic, combine, pick and sample grids
- Recalculate grids --> Resample, aggregate, blur, sharpen, slice, reclassify, batch calculate,fill gaps and change values of grids
- Fractionize grids --> Fractionize (puzzle) grids into equally sized tiles
- Find maxima/minima --> Create grids with the extreme values of multiple grids
- Transform grids --> Move and rotate multiple grids (former Georef Assistant)
- Grid Statistics --> Analyses the cells of multiple grids
- Grids to Images --> Batch converts multiple grids to images by legend
- Grids to Shapes --> Batch convert grids to point, polyline or polygon shapes
